Well, for those of you that don't know, I had the pleasure of witnessing a Foo Fighters concert this weekend. Which, to put it simply, was freaking awesome! Dave Grohl (their singer) is hilarious!

He was introducing all the members and letting them do solos when he said their names, and when he got to their lead guitarist, Chris Shiflett, he started playing the riff to "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. Which naturally, everyone went nuts over. But then Dave got him to stop and everyone booed, and he was like "Hey, I fucking love AC/DC more than you. But when you're in a band you've got to follow a simple rule - never cover a song that's better than one of your own! In other words, stay away from the Beatles, Zeppelin and AC/DC!" lol

Then when he was introducing their touring percussionist, Drew Hester, and Dave was like "Okay, so we're gonna get Drew to a solo on some of his 3rd grade percussion shit here. So I'll call out an instrument and let you guys pick." Eventually he wound up doing this massive, surprisingly awesome solo on a triangle! xDD

But there performance was incredible. They got everyone in the pits going crazy, and everyone with seats was standing two! In a lot of the songs, they would just randomly start jamming in the middle of a song, do a bunch of crazy guitar/drum solos and then go right back into where they were up to. It was so awesome!

And they played so many classic songs from like their first and second albums!
